Illuminated Magnifiers

Illumination is essential for those with retinal disorders, loss of contrast sensitivity and in low-light environments. Our illuminated magnifiers help to brighten a specific area, extend reading times and highlight fine details.

According to a recent study at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute, participants with an optical magnifier read 28 words per minute faster than those using a portable video magnifier. Use of an optical magnifier also showed higher levels of retention and comprehension, and lower levels of eye fatigue.*

Our SMARTMag Magnifiers have 5 unique light options, with both LED (light emitting diodes) and SMD (surface mount diodes) available. In LED, there are 4 color options - 2 colors of white, yellow and teal. In SMD we offer 1 color of white. 

Hand Held Magnifiers are great for patients who want on-the-go use, while Stand Magnifiers are helpful for patients who want hands-free, stable support while reading.
